Poker with Studio 180 Designs and GIVEAWAY

Scroll to the bottom of this page for link to the giveaway.

I made this fun quilt with Midnight glow: a new fabric collection from Island Batik and a tool from Studio 180 Design. I named the quilt Poker.

This lap quilt is 62" by 66", a perfect throw size quilt.

I was given a tool from Studio 180, a Diamond Rect's ruler.

This ruler helps get really nice pieced diamonds . I was VERY impressed.

I cut diamonds according to the cutting guide.

I set them on point with the half rectangles , and then trim down with the ruler. Easy peasy and quick!

I pressed them flat on my alpaca mat by Prairie Spirit, and then pressed the triangles out.

There are 20 beautiful fabrics in this line and I chose my favorites for this quilt. That purple one on top is MY NEW FAVORITE fabric EVER. It is the perfect purple.

I used that perfect purple for a border and the binding.

I quilted the quilt with a design I have had forever but have never used. It is Spiral and Bubbles by Wasatch Quilting. It stitches up so very beautifully. I used my fav batting, Hobbs Heirloom. It always stitches up beautifully.

I took my quilt out to visit some beautiful gardens at Hovander park near Bellingham WA. What a nice place for some pictures. I love taking my quilts outside for some great pics.

And the RAFFLE: Click HERE for a chance for some FAB Island batik fabrics.

Disclosure: The products featured here were provided to me free of charge by Island Batik, Studio 180, Prairie Spirit Alpaca and Hobbs heirloom Batting.

Wow! That is gorgeous. I love the design. I may have to try that ruler myself. The gardens look so lush and lovely surrounding your quilt. Have a great day!
